To all Filipinos, and Filipino Americans in the City of Fairbanks and North Star Borough, may we continue to grow in a spirit of unity, love, understanding, and harmony! Fil-Am is now officially a 501 (c) 3 Non-Profit Organization (Public Charity) retroactive as of Oct 24, 2005. It was a lot of work and efforts on my behalf, but made it happen. To all of the members who dedicated their time, resources, and talents for the good of our community, I thank you. I then extend my warmest greetings to the good people of Alaska. More occasions like Christmas, Cultural Performances and Picnics will provide more opportunities for our members to express their willingness to be part of this association, not just for fun or socials, but friends in all seasons. After the successful fund raisings for our youth car wash, krispy kreme donut sales, picnic, highway clean-up, and so many community events; we have shown our strength & solidarity in our community. I pray that this spirit of togetherness that is demonstrated by each and everyone will continue to grow to allow for the successful completion of our goals, projects and/or programs. Ating Lahi Cultural Suites Performances is coming soon! Ating Lahi is a Division of Fil-Am working toward a common goal to infuse a multicultural ideal to our young people and the generations to come! Interested? Welcome! The cooperation, support, and sacrifices, both in time and personal expenses that you have shared for our association’s success, is greatly appreciated. This is a healthy time that we will continue to be one for all, supporting our projects for many noble causes. Mabuhay! Yoly |

Message From The President:
On behalf of all the Fil-Am members, I applaud you ATING LAHI DANCE GROUP for your selfless efforts and dedication in providing your time and energy to learn the Filipino cultural heritage folkdances.
You are the future leaders of tomorrow. You are all doing a great job !
You just embarked on a big responsibility in keeping up with your grades, school activities and chores at home.
You are now challenged to excel, physically, and academically. Stand tall, we owe this opportunity from your loving parents, who drive you to practice three times a week.
To the Parents: Your support is greatly appreciated.
To the Choreographer & Director, Danny Motas: None of this youth program will prevail without you. To all Members of Fil-Am: Thank you all for your continued support. Let us lift up one another in spirit of unity, the spirit of bayanihan, and the Spirit in God’s favor . Join me to welcome our new members ! To all Fil-Am friends and guests: Your comradeship and support provide meaningful peace and harmony. To all: Mabuhay and God Bless!
Yoly Ganacias

Mga Bayanihan - Fil-Am valentines party was another success. There were 125 people who participated the delightful evening and I want to thank everyone who helped made all this possible. To my fellow officers, friends, the Asian Food Market and most of all the highest ticket sales made possible by Mr. Carreon. A special thanks to our maestros, “music” operators Mr. Lamael Montero and Mr. Romeo Bola. The highlight of the evening a special song “My Valentine” sang by Mrs. Suyene Dallman and our very own show dancers presented the grand opening valentine celebration by Tim Graybeal and Wendy Demacali, Ray Ganacias and Stephanie Temple. Fil-Am is always grateful to God for your selfless efforts, time and services rendered to this association. We encourage our youth and youngsters to participate in nurturing the cultural dances to promote the vibrant flavour of the Filipino heritage into the future generations ahead. February 10, 2008 was another evening to remember. |

Message from the President! On behalf of the Filipino American Society of Fairbanks, I want to thank all of the previous and consequent officers and members of their support, hard work and dedication to the association. For the past two years, we have seen many activities and events successfully completed.
As the President of our association, we will continue to adhere to the ideals and objectives on which the association was founded. We are a family oriented organization and as such, we will continue to participate in cultural functions; be involved in community events; and raise funds to enable our participation in charitable causes. |
